Sorry to say, ^^^^^^^he's correct. The iPod connections on the stock Scion headunit are specific to the Scion. I replaced mine wth an Alpine and had to purchase their iPod connection unit.

What about a schematic of the harness? Could we tap into wires? I like the location of the stock AUX input jack, just need to somehow connect it to the stereo (now a Kenwood KDC-675). I don't have inputs, but I think something can be done if we (I) can figure out what is what regarding the input.

Good luck with that task. The harness is huge and I doubt that either Pioneer or Scion is going to release the info. Not being a smart @ss, good luck with this.

you could do that. but man just give you a fair warning.. not worth it. even if you do, its going not going to be as functional as the kenwood onethat is built for kenwood. granted its a bit of cash (im not too shure on the exact price) but you do pay for the convience of not having to rip and test your stock harness and you know for shure its going to work. either way .. good luck! =]
