Stock radio line lever output?
i am trying to put a sub in my scion xB using the stock head unit. i was just wondering does anyone know what the two unused plugs in the back of the head unit are for? they are the two on the left as you are looking at the back of the radio. i suspect that a pair of those pins on one of those two plugs are the line level output used to send the signal to the amp. does anyone have a pinout of the headunit? can someone that bought the sub from scion shed some light on what pin the sub draws its signal from? i think the pinout would be the most helpful for us so we know what the others are used for. any constructive replies are welcomed. thanks in advanced.

dude, thats the line out for the scion sub... i haven't heard anyone that used that line to hook it up to an aftermarket amp to get the signal... most of the guys who installs an aftermarket amp either uses a lineout converter/buy an amp with high level input...
btw, if u need a line level converter, im disposingmine since i just bought a new HU... its the scosche LOC with a 4channel out...

i suspected that they would be the line out for the sub. an amp is an amp and a sub is a sub. regardless of whether it is aftermarket or the bazooka from scion, they both need a line level output from the headunit. if i can get a pinout of the headunit then i can use the stock lineout to feed into my amp instead of using the rear channels like most people use. the line out is different than using a rear channel because the signal is cleaner.
anyone have the pinout to the stock headunit?? please post. thanks.
