Default Stupid Question

Ok... my orange cathodes are finally here. Now how do I wire up the switch? I'm tapping in to the cigarette lighter. Can anyone explain to me how to do it? I know I'm not the brightest, but do you connect the positive or the negative to the switch and does it matter what prong you use? I got the OEM switch from Oznium.

Are you using a relay?

I don't think so. I just bought a cathode kit from oznium, with a transformer and a switch. That's all I have.

Is it 2 inverters with 4 tubes?
And where do you plan on mounting the inverters- inside or outside car?
I assume outside b/c the leads on the cathodes are short?

The most common method is to tap/splice the positive wire from the cigarette lighter to your switch and from the switch to the positive of the inverters. Ground the negative of the inverters near where you mount them. Get some wire taps from Wal-Mart or an auto parts place to do it. It doesn't matter which prong on the switch you use.

I already checked the tech section, but I couldn't find anything that went into detail. I did a search as well, with no luck. Ok... so you use the positive... is that the black with the white stripe or the white with the black stripe?

One more question... Can I run 8 tubes and 6 LED's off of just the cigarette lighter or should I look into tapping into the fuse box?

Black with white stripe is usually positive.
