I'm looking for a sub box that goes under the front passenger seat of a xb. I need to know who makes on and where i can get it at. And can i make one to fit under the drivers side seat?
the driver side may be more difficult because of the sensor underneigth.
underneath the passenger seat though... you COULD fit a small sub there... again SMALL. theres not alot of room down there. it would most certainly need to be sealed and you also have to think about leaving enough room for the movement of the woofer cone. i would say bigest... 8" woofer down there. big enough to get a little bass enhancement.
but do note, the placement of your lower subbass end system is very important. puting a custom 8" in the back and sacraficing almost no room make there would sound ALOT better then having it under the passenger seat.
bass is omni directional from 80hz and below which means you will hear the same bass in all directions, when it comes to the interior of the vehicle, this somewhat changes due to the added walls and ceiling and when it's under the seat like that, you wont get that "clean bass" sound where you hear it everywhere in the vehicle, infact you'll be close enough to tell that it's comming from the seat and not from somewhere else.
just keep that in mind.

Elemental Designs makes boxes and they so happen to have a company xB that they can use to make sure it fits.... they also will have subs that'll fit in those spaces...

I tried some under seat boxes in mkine with 10's (a very tight fit). The occupant sensors and computer under the pass seat (2006 anyway) had to be moved....and the jack mount under the drivers seat was in the way. Once complete it worked but the sound wasn't that great (not clear). 8 inch subs needing a smaller box might work better. I moved mine to the rear and it sounds great.
