Default sub making a vibrating noise!

it sounds like the top plate is vibrating against something. its kinda higher pitched, and it stops if i push on it a little. do i need to take an audio recording or do u know what im talking about. how do i make it stop its hella annoying! thanks!

Sounds like it's misaligned and the sound you're hearing is a coil rub.

Needs to get a recone 99% of the time if it works only when you press on it.

Take it in to the shop you bought it from or contact the manufacturer.

do i need to send it in or can i take it to a shop? i mean are they going to tell me to send it in or take it into a shop?

check that you dont have a screw that stripped the threads on the box, that causes them to rub and make a loud squeaking noise every time the bass hits

if they aren't worth alot new, then your best bet is to just replace them, the only ones worth reconing are the ones that are several hundred a peice, cause on the cheaper ones a recone can be almost as much as a new sub
