Default MTX ......

We installed a 9500 15" in a Hahaonda Civic that belongs to the manager at the stereo shop I work at part time. It pounds granted it has about 1200 watts behind it.

This is a link comparing the 10s. They are killer subs.

Not....

Look up Elemental Designs.
Or, have you considered Image Dynamics?

i've owned and used many subs i nthe past from jl, rockford, kicker, jbl, etc.. I suggest you get a decent amp to match your subs, but it depends on how much you really want to spend.

what i totally recommend right now for the money is 2 alpine dvc type r 1241d subs (around $250 delivered) and a box($50 delivered) that doesn't take up much space. the bass is tight and deep. you can get a decent amp for $200 to run these and they will be more than enough.

i really like the kicker 12L7's and the jl 13w7's, but for my needs they are too expensive and require more power. the jl's also require a pretty big box for just one sub.

my 2 cents

ima suggest the MTX 9500 series sub. that ____ HITS!!! its compared to the JLW7 many a times...and it proves its better! (atleast the 10s...)

http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/headtohead/w7.cfm

check that out...plus the MTX are way cheaper. im going to either get a 9515 or the 13w7....i wanna see their specs side by side! but i know both amps thump pretty well. just depends on how much MULAH you have

Well lets see here, I have had JL 10 inch w0's in my Accord for about 4 years now and have never had a problem with them. I am basically loking for something that not necessairly pounds but something that is both loud and clear (gotta be clear). I have been leaning tword the w7's for a while now and plan to run either a 500/1 or a 1000/1 JL amp to them (2 10 inch). I will be running those with MB Quart fronts that will be run off a JL 300/4. I was basically just curious on what types of subs sound better in the huge space inside the Xb and I still think that I am leaning twords the w7's. Thanks for all the replies everyone, this forum rocks.

If you are looking for the ultimate sound quality sub........your best bet is probably going to be the Infinity Perfects. The sentiment that I've heard seems to unanimously vote the Perfects the king of SQ. I was thinking of getting Perfects.......but in the end I went with Kicker L7s because I liked the idea of having square speakers in my square car.........and I found a deal I couldn't pass up.
