Your question is not too clear, so if by asking "how it's wired", you're asking if the OEM HU has RCAs, then no. In order to hook up an amp to the OEM HU you would have to install a line out converter or get an aftermarket HU (unless you have one already and your question is something else).

actually if the amp has something called high level inputs u can splice the 4 wires going to the back speakers. 2 are on the left and 2 are on the right side of your car. What you do is u remove the door sills... I forgot which color the left speaker wires and the right speaker wires were but they are thicker than the rest of the wires and they are twined around each other like a spiral. (My car did not use the standard toyota wiring colors, one color was off.)You then get the spliced wires and u hook em up to ur amp.. Its actually pretty simple.. Oh yah, u have to splice the remote wire from ur HU. It's a grey wire. And the power cables easily go through the grommet that's in the firewall. Actually, not through the grommet, but on the edges of it. And u have to ground it to the chassis.. Pretty simple stuff, Installed mine myself in about 2 hrs and this was my first time installing something on a car. It's pretty simple, I just used the search feature in the forums to find what i needed to know.

Oh yes, a response to your question... You can wire the subwoofers by bridging them to one amp. But that also depends on your amp. U can use this wizard http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp to show you the many different way's to wire your subs

i'm wondering though, if you splice the wires to the two rear speakers, how do the two rear speakers function since they're missing either positive or negative inputs?

well when you split the wire you split one into two so you get one to the speaker and one to the amp hope this answers you question

ooo so you just take a negative wire from one side and put it into the amp and a positive from the other side and put it in the amp too and BAM the sub works?

Actually it depends on your amp... If you have a mono amp, technically u only need 1 positive and 1 negative. However, amps with dual channels need positive and negative from both sides, so in essence, 4 wires. I know my car is set up this way. I could be wrong about the channels thing tho..

well you can attach 1 pos and 1 neg even if it's dual. you can still bridge the dual to make it power a single sub. but i think you can also power 2 subs too with just 1 positive and 1 negative. o and btw, how do you splice the remote wire to attach it to the amp? like what would you do with it?

I just bought really long wire from home depot.... I forgot how many ft. Theres a grey cable that's included with an amalgamtion of wires in back of the HU. I spliced that and ran the cable to the back. It was actually pretty simple, simpler than I thought it would be.

if you use the high outputs on the amp you get more of a distorted sound rather then a deep base sound... it's best to install a line converter, or get a new headunit

I agree... Get a new HU, i've heard my ____ plugged into a After Market HU and it sounds 1000x better. It's so much deeper, and it doesnt distort.... It's like.. silent bass... iono how to explain it, but it's still louder.
