Default Switches for Switch Panel

Contributed by Jmarks1998

I was trying to find a toggle switch that fit in the three spots below the A/C controls and couldn't find anything that looked good. I was tired of seeing big ol' paddle switches or round toggles or anything that didn't look a little factory. I finally found one today. I found this switch at Lowes. It was $4 after tax. It fits perfectly in the location without any modification at all.

This switch is for my sub amp. I want to be able to turn the amp off when I remove my subs so I don't have the amp on for no reason. I am going to get 2 more switches for my neon and foglights.

Model# is GSW-45

They are in the electrical aisle next to the other GB products (zip ties, electrical tape, electrical tools, and connectors).

Those switches are awesome! I went to Lowes and bought three.
They fit like OEM, look like OEM and feel like OEM.
Thanks a bunch for the tip.

Haha, Lowe's is gonna be like WTF, how come we sold 10X more of the GSW-45 this month?

I went and bought 2 last night after seeing this thread. ScionLife in action. I've already got the fog switch in there and I used a blue lighted switch modded into one of the blanks. It sucked tho, it was just a blue cover and a white bulb that got hella hot and then blew out after a few weeks. At least the switch still works. But it's about to get ____canned...

I need to call Lowes or GB and ask for some commission on all these switch sells.

these switches look great. I picked up 3 of them but want to wait on putting them in until I can come up with a way to label or mark them. Three identical switches on the panel with no markings will drive me crazy. Anyone have any ideas on stenciling "OFF" "INT" "EXT" or whatever else on the switches?

My wife is looking for some transparent labels at her scrapbooking stores, I am hoping for something like that to work.

If you check at some of the more prestiges (lol) Art supply stores you can find some of those rub-on lettering stencil kits. some of which are already labled: Batt. or on/off, and many others. if i can find the packet with the name of the company on it that produced them that may be a little more helpful. You may have to put the stencils on the switches themselves as i think the textured dash plate pc may not adhere properly....

That sounds exactly like what I am looking for. If they come in white and are small enough to fit on the switch itself I will be very happy.

Default light up switches

here is a pic of my switches that i have for interior and under car lights

I had to do some slight drilling of the little plastic things for the switches to fit into.

I got these switches @ radio shack for like $2.99 each i think..

I couldn't find the GSW-45s anywhere so I picked up some of the GSW-49 and it still worked. I'll take a picture later if you want.
