Guess i posted this in the wrong place originally....anyway...

So, there is a stereo i want to get for my 2006 xb and it's from another xb only it's from the RS 3.0 release. I want to switch it out because i'm looking for a dvd player, which this one is, and it comes with a flip down roof mount monitor.

My question is, is this something i can just put in, or are there going to be wires to run from the roof mount to the stereo? It's an alpine dvd/cd/mp3 player just like my sis has in her limited edition xb. Anyone? and sorry i don't know very much at all when it comes to this stuff....I just know i want it.

so is it something i could do? i've put a few cd players in before and i have someone who has installed a roof mounted monitor before also. would i have to buy anything? and if so, what?

You might have some trouble with those cut wires. You might have to buy new ones...

 

 

oh that's just an example of the same stereo, not the actual. mine is intact in the dash.
