Default System wiring help needed.

Okie folks, ive got my system...

Alpine CDA-7864
METRA 99-8209 kit f
Ed 6500s
Ed nine.1
Ed nine.2
Ed 16.0.v2

and

120' of edead 1.vse

So, now i just need to get it into my car...

Im making a final orderlist to make sure that i have all the correct/right gear for wiring this mother. let me know if i should change anything (get smaller, different size/item, remove unnecessary stuff, ect.. as i have very little clue on actually what im doing. Also, i want this install to be as easy as possible..lemme know if im making life unnecessarily difficult for myself):

KOL1/0R 16' Kolossus Kable 1/0 Red Power Wire $36.00 <----for powering nine.1 (1ohm) & nine.2 (hopefully not too big)

KRY2.4M 2' Krystal Kable 2 Chnnl 4M Twisted Pair RCA Cable $33.98 <--from the hu to amp? (hopefully long enough and the right kind)

KASA10BK 30' KASA Kable Silver Plated 10AWG Spkr Wire $59.70 <-- to the 6500's,tweets, and sub (agian hopefully not too big)

KOM1/0BL 4' Kompressed 1/0 Gauge Blue Power Wire <-- ground wire $11.00 (not a clue on where though and afraid its too big)

FB-1024D Digital ANL Fuse Distribution Block w/ Fuses $39.99 <--- bat=pwr cbl= this=cbl (i dont have a clue where/how to mount this)

FH-20 In-Line Waterproof ANL Fuse Holder w/ Fuse $19.99<-- (dunno what to do with this one)

PB-K1448 Ground Distribution Block $6.87 <---- ground, will use other outputs for engine ground kit (will mount to chassis...probably where a strut bar would go)

BT-104N Negative Battery Terminal $12.00 <--- for battery...unknow if it has a use yet
BT-104P Positive Battery Terminal $12.00 <---same as above

inline fuse/circuit breaker under hood???not a clue what this is... unknown atm

KOL4BKS 13' Kolossus Kable 4AWG Black/Silver Power Wire $14 <-- 5' for from nine.1 to diso ... 8' for DIY engine ground kit
(see http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?t=15613 for more info on DIY ground kit)

KOL8BKS 5" Kolossus Kable 8 Gauge Black/Silver Power Wire $5 <----nine.2 to disto

So what do you think? any suggestions? any thing too big? small? left out? upside down? or going to hurt my baby (tc)?

btw. everything in parenthesis is just my personal ideas on what im supposed to do with the item behind it)

I need some serious help on wiring this puppy togeather... i attempted to come up with a component blueprint and map everything out but i really dont have a clue beyond that the power wire is connected to the positive terminal of the battery ;P

Nice wiring! But will the 1/0 wire go directly into a NINe.2?

What car do you have?

If you were in Houston, this would be easy. If you can't find anyone to help, got a digital camera? I could walk you through the entire process, but I can only do it by looking at pics. Sorry

I too went with 1/0 ga, to a fused dist block, then 4ga to my amps. I didn't see any need to go smaller, especially if eventually I go to bigger amps.

Nice stuff, just be careful running the KnuKonceptz wire. I have found the jackets to be somewhat weak and easily torn.

• I think you could step down on the speaker wire, that's pretty fat and would be hard to run.

• Mount the ANL fused distro block somewhere near the trunk.

I notice that you have no smaller gauge wire for your power/grounds. You'll need some (probably 4 ga) to use between the distro block and the 1/0ga power cable from the battery. I think you could do away with the ground distro block, it's unnecessary IMO.

I think this would be a pretty good setup --

1) Enough 1/0 ga to run from your battery to the inline fuse (FH-20), then from that to the trunk or wherever you're mounting your amps. I have my inline fuse about 2 feet away from the battery, like this.

[batt]====(inline fuse)==============================[distro block]

2) enough 4ga to run from your dist. block to each amp. It should look like this

====1/0ga====[dist block]===4ga out x 2=====[amp]

3) enough 4ga for your amp to ground. Just find someplace in the trunk that is directly part of the chassis. For the best ground, don't use the seat belt bolt holes or any sort of cross members.

I run 8awg speaker wire for the subs, so 10awg isn't that bad. As far as the power and ground wires go, make sure the are the same size. You don't want a power wire bigger than a ground wire, or vice versa. Good luck!

it's way overkill though. I think mine is 12 throughout.

okie, i had no clue on what wire to get for what. All i knew is that the nine1 will be puting out around 1500rms and the nine.2 will be at around 150ish. I figured that bigger would be better.

am i missing anything? what wires should i change?

You are overthinking it. Start working on installing the wires, and you'll get a better understanding of what you will need.
