Default tc Owners with AVIC-N1

I have read many posts about the eclipse avn2454 and some about the avic-n1.

I would like some feedback on what tc owners think of their avic-n1. The good the bad and the regrets.

The place that i spoke to said they would install so it does not interfere with cover so other then that issue

thanks for the input

I'm in the same situation...

Looking at the AVN2454... but so rare and expensive.

The AVIC-N1 I can get for about 1,300.00 if I'm lucky. Seems like a better deal over the Eclipse since it has all the features that the Eclipse has. Plus XM which the AVN2454 doesn't support so thats a nice.

But I've seen alot of these AVIC-N1 refurbished on eBay... hmmm... maybe they have alot of problems?? I dunno.

Plus what about the back side... do they plug right? Thats another little thing to consider. What about the door? Will it still close? Plus you'll have to have dash kit, and little more work because of the hide away box.

I guess if I do get the AVIC-N1 I'll let you know... since those stuff listed is well worth the 400-600 dollars price difference.

i have an avic-n1, i'm loving it so far.. hmm.. i just took out the cover and it sits really nice as it is, though i'd like to have it so the cover slides all the way in... that's a project there.. and right now i'm too lazy to have it fixed up.

Default I see...

Thats good...

Would it work if you put it on the bottom? You know how the dash kit has a bottom pocket right?

What if the pocket was on top and the HU was on the bottom? Would that clear the door then?
