Do you guys think the tcover(automatic radio cover) will be going on sale for the holidays? Or ever get to 100 dollars?

I never close mine. $100 for something that I can do myself... not really worth it I don't think.

I was looking into getting it. The one they recently released is pretty neat because it's got a "show mode". If your ride is in a car show, it has a mode that will automatically open and close it every so often.

I, on the occasion, forget to close it whenever i get out of my car...so, when you take the key out it will automatically close itself..pretty cool IMO..I'd buy it.

I like it, it makes the car look classy. I said the same thing $100 is alot but you have to see the quality of the product.

I have spoken with two people who have installed these. One barely worked for a short while and the other never worked. Apparently the motors burned out very quickly, around a day or so if I understood correctly. These were also professionally installed. Just thought I would add the warning.

They are cool, but I plan on building my own when I get to that part if I want it done.

I've had mine for 5 months now and no problems whatsoever and I will say this again and again... The quality of this product and support for it is sincerely worth what is charged for it.

I challenge anyone to build a similiar product with as many features/support/quality of construction...

Based on this product's contruction and code neccesary to run it... I really have respect for the designers.

It's not a flip/servo move deal and the new version even features more programming options...

I'm sending mine back to get the firmware update just for the new version show mode!

This is a definate buy, much more worth it than many of the other mods I've spent 100's for.

^^ I was just passing along what I have heard from two people. That could all be isolated, just wanted to put it out there. I still plan on doing it myself when I do it so I can add my own programming to it, most likely added to a larger control system for other dash mods. But, designing electronics is something I know, so it is as much for personal gratification as it is for having it the way I want it

Default Broken tCovers

Thanks for everyone's interest in the tCover.

I am surprised to hear about the broken tCovers. If anyone purchased one and it did not work as specified, they can return it for a full refund or exchange it for a new one.

The problems that I've seen involved poor installations. I admit that it does take some skill to install the tCover, which is why I suggest that the tCover installation manual is read before purchsing. If someone is capable of installing a head unit, they can easily install the tCover.

engifineer:

Can you please tell the individuals who purchased the tCovers to contact me at support@tcover.net ?

Thanks,

I will definitely pass that along! Good to see you on here supporting your product. I was in no way bashing, just passing along a friendly warning. But it sounds as if there are plenty of satisfied customers out there to back the product.

this is a great product.. i have had mine now for a few months now... and no problems... the support from tcover has been par excellence!!.. i really cannot stress that enough......

i sent mine back for a firmware update early on.. and it worked great.. this was before the show mode programming.. not sure if i want to take it apart again for just that additional feature..

i agree the price is well worth it... and YES.. read.. read.. and read again the install instructions so you are clear on what has to be done.. it is not really THAT hard to do.. just takes time and some patients... and alittle skill with tools.... another great thing about this kit is that it is non-distructive.. meaning if you ever decided to remove the kit .. you can install all the parts like original and it will work 100% as original..

This looks like a really cool product so I Just placed my order. Now if they could make one of these for the 350z I'd be set.

Not sure what model year that picture is but doesnt the 2004+ 350Z cover door open automatically The tCover looks like a great quality product, but the installation just looks like too much work for me.
