got one done today for $170 all the windows plus 10" shade at front. got stopped by cops coz they said it was too dark..I wanted to say " tell me somethin' i don't know" I had it done with reflective silver greenish finish....pic HERE ....... I wasn't gonna do anything on the outside yet but since it's starting to get bright here in Cali just went ahead and did it.. tint sure does make a difference on how it looks though.....

 

That looks awesome man. But it will show badly if someone scratches it. I did my other ride the same way and the stereo installer scratched it in like 3 places and I could never get over how bad it looked and how noticeable it was.

Do you have to replace it cuz the cop?

 

good thing I do my own experiments that way if something goes wrong I can hit myself right away and not get sued :o as far as the cop yeah I was told to take the driver and passenger sides off..I told him "yeah I will" when I get home :twisted: sure I will.. :twisted: Now I know why the place that I had it tinted won't give me a receipt.... bastards. :D

 

i was thinking about getting my tint done at california tint like next week, but I was wondering if anyone knew any other places that do tint for a good price..

 

if you're looking to get it done cheap then just go to a small car stereo shop, they usually do tinting for around 80-100 bucks. it'll start bubbling in a year probably though, those small places don't warranty anything. house of tints in tustin warranties their tinting and they do a nice job. 180 bucks for dyed tint (3 year warranty) and 210 for metallic (lifetime warranty). www.houseoftints.com - they do some crazy graphics

i have 10% all the way around and i think its like a 10 inch 10% strip on windshield and i got pulled over and i just played dumb and said i got it from the factory this way and he so bought it

 

I have been stopped in the pastwith 10%, so far haven't had any problems. Mine are only 20% this time...

 

I've got 4% on all the back windows, and I went with 40% on the driver and passenger windows. Here in Illinois its illegal to have ANY tint on the driver and pass. windows, but with the back being so dark, it makes the front look a lot less conspicuous, lol.

 

I have 5% on all the windows and about to get the strip on the windsheild. $180 and lifetime warranty.
