Default Tweeters in the back?

Could this be done, putting tweeters in the back? My passengers in the rear say they can't hear the highs as well as I can in the front. So, I was wonderin' where/if any tweeters could go int he back, and if they would need another amp, or would the stockunit have enough juice to do this...

Or is this too weird?

Yes you could do this. You can put any kind of speakers you want anywhere. I have thought of doing this as well because all my friends in the back seat can hear is boom boom boom boom. :D

The rears do not need an amp, just use your headunit to run them. If you have to much power running to them its gonna ruin your front soundstage. I put components in the rear of my tC. I am not sure of what the XB configuration is. But I just mounted the tweeter on top of the woofer, so of like a coaxial but it sounds alot better. I have an Excelon CD Player so I just turn the internal amp off when no one but me is in the car, so that way no music is playing in the back besides subs.

how much rms are you givin to your tweets up front? How much rms are you givin to your subs? Maybe a better solution would be to just add a little more power to the tweets up front(unless they are loud enough for you already)

The tweets up front are fine. When peeps sit in the back, they can't hear the highs too well.

That's what I'm talking about. If I blast the highs in the front, then that sucks. I'm just looking for a possible solution to this problem.

If anyone had done something, for the back, when it comes to tweets, maybe they can lead me that way.

I have components mounted in the back of my xB. Some people that sat in it this weekend said that it was pretty good, even with the 12" sub in the back. Here is the pic of the set up.

Its kind of hard to see, but it they are mounted about 4 inches up on the gray plastic in the back.

Thanks! NOW that is what I was hoping to see! So who did the work? I see you are a dealer; does that mean you got the work done at a dealer?

How many $$ are we talking here? 'Cause I really want to do this, but I don't want to blindly dot it. I want it to look good, and sound good, and not put a drain on the stock HU, since I like the stock HU.

Thanks again!
