Having never owned them before... is there anything I need to look out for? I'm pretty sure I want Red LEDs but possibly multi-color changing ones as long as I can do only red as well.
Current struggle is to decide between:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2455630776
or
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2455450562
or
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=20334
Any thoughts?

How is that second one listed only $38 bucks? Thats pretty damn cheap. Let us know if you buy from any of these people.
Also, I was reading some of the feedback on the guy whos selling the lights cheap, and theres a few who said they ordered lights and they were DOA - so, i dunno. becareful wit that one.

nothing personal here guys, but I think that led kits for underbody suck. Leds spot, and with only 6" until the ground, you are going to get a lot of spoting. I know that it looks cool to have them change colors and all, but I dont think you are going to like the overall effect of the glow.
The think with regular neon underbody kits is the full bar glows and you get an overall better light. My shop has done a few of the kits that you have links for that customer bought from ebay and they were all a breeze to install, but they just didn't light up that well.
What we use is the streetglow goldline underbody kits, and they come with a full replacement lifetime warranty unless you break the outside lexan tubing, which we have never seen happen.

remember that even though led looks good... like piston said they dont give the glow like neon .. led shots light straight down, not down to the sides and all around... the chasing lights are cool ..... also to the warranty part, neons the gold series only cover breaks inside .... that sucks but like piston i have not seen breaks i would like to know how they did.... ok now the law side of things ---red--- plan on getting tickets and if you have led's with chasing or flashing yea well just say you asking for one go on streetglow.com you find out more about it
I just put neon tubes on my xA
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp id=1056899163484&skuId=5400336&type=product
I didnt want to have it change colors or pulse with the beat i just wanted the glow to match the lighting i did inside. It took me about an hour to install most of the time was securing the wires to the car. But the tubes went on nice and clean using straps with screws. Dont use zip-ties they wear out over time and you will loose your tubes to the road.
The lower your car is the worse the LED's will look but neon looks better the lower you go. Check out my profile and you can see what those tubes look like on an xA.
Its not the good ones but it will let you know how the neon looks in a Scion.
Personally I did it because everyone told me not to because it was "tacky" and it really has grown on me now.
