Also, for LEDs maybe check out www.varad.com I lit my box up with their light kits and it looks awsome with 1000 colors.
The products are excelent quality but the prices are probably better @ Oznium. Both are great!

I LOVE my Varad lights. A little expensive , but you get what you pay for. I'm fully sponsored, but even if I would have had to pay for them I would.

Personally, My vote goes to old school neon. I've used both LED and neon and LED's are cool because they can be programmed and are quite durable.
But after I sold my LED kit I wanted some kinda light back under there so I bought a $40 e-bay neon kit and was amazed. It's far brighter than LED's. I can be driving down a 3 lane road and still light up the curb of the road from the other side. It lights up other cars and fully lights up the underside of my car unlike the LED's that just made a "square" of light under the car.
I would only recommend LED's if you want durability and the ability to change colors. I've had my neons for about 5 months so far and they are still just as bright as when I installed them. But The clamping hardware has a kind-of built in suspension thats pretty cheap. I know it's only a matter of time before it gets frail and cracks. But it's only like 40 bucks for a whole new kit. So I'm not worried.

I've used cold cathodes and LEDs on this pic.

but i've gone all LEDs because it's easier to wire them draws little power than CCFL or Neons.
i've got more pics here:

I personally feel LED's are better because of the power usage. I can leave my car with all 150+ LED's running for 12+ hours with no worries about my xB starting. You can't do that with Neon or Cold Cathodes.
