I'm wondering if anyone has any detailed info on the "upgraded door speakers" option on some of the Scions. It seems like some sort of underground option that no one knows anything about. I know it was part of the tC special edition package and I can find mention of it on a few dealers websites.

Strangely I believe its a southeast only option. Not sure why.

The actual wording from the special edition package is "Door Speaker Upgrade & 100 Watt Amp"

NextTag lists it as "Radio Equipment, Upgraded Speakers Cost $279.00;List $379.00; Port Installed Option. Available Only in Southeast Region. "

 

Not sure about this one.... but if I can give any advice it would be save your money and...

I'm not really interested in the price factor and I do plan on doing it myself. I'm more interested in hardware options when I get around to it.
