Upgrading xB car battery
I noticed there's a plate underneath the car battery. Can it fit an Optima battery or do I need to remove the plate or get a bigger one to hold down the battery.

i wanted an Optima Yellowtop, but couldnt find one that would fit. So I got the regular sized Optima, and removed the tray. I did have to modify the hold down bracket slightly.

Optima came out with a 75/25 Yellow Top battery recently ... I haven't put one in yet (maybe this weekend) but the dimensions are a lot closer to stock size than the 34/78. 650 CCA and 45 amp-hours, I think.
