Video Screen for xB dash
I have an Alpine IVA-D300, which is a motorized screen/DVD head unit. I had it in my 04 F150 and I wanted to know what you guys are doing with video screens in the dash.
I'm pretty sure it won't interfere with anything i.e. centered mounted speed odometer, but I just wanted to know about any potential concerns you might have encountered.
Are there any special kits for mounting that I need to know about?
Be patient with my ignorance, but I haven't got my box in yet.

I installed an Alpine C801 in my XB, and all you need is a dash kit and wiring harness! I didn't use a wiring harness since i rewired everything for my 4 channel amp! But a little trick that i found is that if you take some of the foam out from under the rear seat you can fit the "brain" to your screen there. I put mine under on the pass. side under the rear seat, and on the drivers side i installed an alumapro 15 farad cap. doesn't effect the comfyness unless you take to much foam out. the main DIN cable barly reaches to the rear seat location so be carful where you rout it so you still have some slack!
Also..... another thing you might concider (which i went over kill on) is backstapping the screen! I know the dash kit screws in, but if someone tried to pull it out of my dash, they would end up breaking everything to hell, and the screen would still be there. I took the speedo cluster out and backstrapped it up there where it can't be seen. and don't use just a avarage phillips screw.... find something odd ball, like a square head, or a hex head, or even a weird size bolt! I did that, and then ran one down under the dash too! and i used 4 diffrent odd ball screws (2 diffrent ones on each strap)!

I mounted the headunit in the cubby pocket, no kit need just cut & fitment test until you know it fits snug & the door can close. The only kit i needed was the toyota harness for the radio. As to the a website for the dash, dont know anyone mass producing these. My & a buddy of mine did it since he works for an audio shop out here in Ca. The monitor was like $200.00-250.00 or so & the materials was like $50.00, the labor a free since my friend owed me a favor.
