Vinyl Dyeing the sun visors
First off, what is the purpose of that rectangular thing on the sun visor that has the slit in it? What is it for? Don't tell me it's a business card holder. What's it for?
Now the real question: Has anyone tried to vinyl dye the sun visors? I am seriously thinking about doing mine. I did my visors in my last car and it worked great. It gets rid of that annoying warning message on the visor for one, plus I think it would look snazzy with my black interior to have black sun visors. Maybe even do the "oh sheet" bars too in black.
Also, does anyone know how to get the sun visor "clips" off? Do they just pop off? or is there a trick to removing them?
For those that don't know, vinyl dye comes in spray cans and is like spray paint except the dye actually soaks into the vinyl/plastic therefore it can never scratch or wear off. It has been used by PC case modders for a long time. I have used it a few times myself with great success. I used to be able to get it at auto parts stores like AutoZone and Advance but now the only place I can seem to find it is Amazon.com

I've never seen the dye soak into vinyl or plastic. It sticks really good but doesn't soak in there. It will chip and peel but it is better than paint.
I've used vinyl dyes extensively in the past for kickpanels and other custom fab work.
