Viper 791 - Adjusting Senstivity
So, the new apartment complex I'm in has these stupid trees that drop little nuts on your car. Every parking space has them. My alarm was installed with a sensitivity becuase I loves to go off at all times during the night.
15 complaints and I've only lived here 15 days.
Anyways, My manual was lost during my move, and I need to adjust sensitivity.
Can anyone help, or email me the manual. The link at direct doesnt work for me.
Thanks!
Kevin

Ok, so my question now:
Its the Warn Away system that is being super picky.
It claims that you hit the aux button then the arm button and it supposedly runs in silent mode for that?
Anyone know if this works?
Everytime I lock my car then, I have to use the aux button then the arm button?

The sensitivity is actually set on the shock sensor itself. You have to find the shock sensor, usually strapped the steering column, or under the dash somewhere. The sensor is clear, and is about the size of a pager(if you remember those). A good way to find it is have your car UN ARMED, and pull your lower dash down, there is an LED on the sensor which blink everytime it feels a vibration. Start hitting your dash, and you will see the LED blink.
Now, on this Sensor is a little pot switch(small screw), you have to turn the small screw counter clockwise to make it less sesitive.
The thing your doing with the AUX is just to make it not chirp when you hit the LOCK or UNLOCK button.
Hope this helps

godbless u golden86, im gonna make my car a bit more sensitive cuz my friends kicked my car and the alarm didnt go off, i also jacked the car up and removed the bolts and the alarm still didnt go off, sigh, so im guessing i turn the screw clockwise eh?
Ha... I figured out that my shock sensor was installed by the fuse panel. Thus it was making one side real sensitive and the other not so much. Im relocating it to the center console underneath by the Ebrake.
