What is a cheap way to hook up a MP3 Player to my radio?
Well just like the subject says I am looking for a cheap way to hook up my MP3 player. I drive about 45 minutes each way to work, and I have urge which allows me to play unlimited songs on my MP3 player so I would love to be able to listen to my music while driving. I have read the article in the tech section about using the iPod2Car kit, but honestly I don't have $150.00 to just blow on it. I would like to be able to control the MP3 player by using my car stereo, but this isn't a must just as long as I can hear it. Oh and by the way I have a Zen Micro if that helps in determining parts to use. I have promised this before (but always forget to do it...
) but I am willing to do a step by step write up if I can figure out what parts to use. Thanks guys/and girls for all your help!!!!!

Get a PIE adapter, which will plug into the cd changer port on the back of your head unit. It will create an input for 2 rca plugs, which you can get an adapter for to plug your mp3 player into. http://www.pie.net/pie_store/shopexd.asp?id=646
That's how I have my satellite radio installed, and I love it.

there was an ipod thing that would connect to the back of the head unit... search around, i was going to do that until i got my 06! and 04's dont have aux ports....
1. Look at the center console
2. Plug the player into the "AUX" input from the headphone output of the player
3. Press the "AUX" button on the head unit
4. Listen, enjoy, and just deal with controling the player from the player

I have the same situation as StarSk8er_00 with my 04 xB, I know there is a part TOY03-AUX or the TOY03-AUX/S, just wondering if the TOY03-AUX/S gonna works since I have the SAT button and its not hook up to any SAT device.
Bumping this for more info. I just bought a used '04 xA with the base model HU. Im looking for an iPOD solution as well. Does anyone have the correct part number for the AUX adpator cable?
Also I know some of the newer HU's do full iPOD control. Will any them work with my '04 harness?
