Default What in-dash touchscreen display are you using in your xB?

I'm looking to ditch my current head unit and install a Mac mini carputer. I'm looking for a touchscreen that fits easily in the xB dash. Please let me know what you are using and what difficulties you may have encountered. I'm looking right now at the Liliput 619GL-70NP or 629GL-70NP.

619GL-70NP
Please pardon the dust laying about. I've been meaning to clean the interior but haven't gotten around to it lately.
The screen vertically fits the opening very well, but will require some sort of "fill" for the sides, since the screen is not as wide as the opening. I made a bracket out of fiberglass and covered it in black vinyl to fill the side gaps.

best advice I could give is keep it cool, install it in a place where the intake and exhaust fans aren't blocked, and use a DC-DC power regulator. I would not use the DC/AC converters since they can have "dirty" power, with voltage spikes and dips as the battery load changes. I will be going with a carnetix CNX-P1900. Go to www.mp3car.com for more info and wiki. Good luck and have fun, and thanks for the heads up UV7, I'll probably make a fiberglass frame for the screen to make up the difference.

Rather than using an old laptop, you will probably be better off building a small chassis system from scratch that incorporates what you want to use. You will be MUCH more satisfied with it versus a laptop...MUCH less clutter to deal with. This way, you can tailor the unit to suit your exact requirements.
A DC-DC power supply is a necessity, although I would recommend the M2 160W or Opus over a Carnetix. I have used M2s several times and have never been let down.
With a well-designed unit, location can be of less importance, although you never want the unit to sit in direct sunlight. The brains of the unit you see in the pic above are actually located inside the dash.
When you start to tackle this sort of system, let me know. I'll help you out any way I can.
