Default What size headrest monitors 5.6" or 7" ?

I want widescreen headrest monitors for my xB. The headrests seem smaller than standard (other vehicles). What size widescreen will fit properly?

Please post pictures of your setup!!!!

duh! I want to know which size would accomodate all the wiring, shroud, etc. When I tell installers that I have an xB, they say to go with the smaller 5.8" . But, I know, that here on the forums, people have 7". Although, some of them have replaced their original headrests with custom, Myron & Davis.

On all the installs I've done I've used 7's in the stock headrests. The 5.6 are too small to actually enjoy, more of a bling factor than anything else. Do it right.

I'm using 6.5" widescreens, but I am using the rear headrests as the front to accomidate for the bigger screen. the front headrests are really narrow so putting big screens in the fronts are a bit of a pain.

If you do not plan on changing from the factory cloth interior Audiovox and vizualogic make 7" headrest that match perfect and look better because they build the new headrest a little large so the finish is much nicer then any install

The audiovox kit also has a dvd built into one screen

I'm putting 7" screens in. I say, go as big as you can. I've seen pics of 7" screens mounted and they look good. I see them mounting them toward the bottom b/c it is wider though.

On a very related topic, are people here using ceiling mount? Do they get in the way of the rear view when used while driving? This is why I want to go w/ headrests instead but I was just curious.

if you are gonna do monitors in the headrest go with the 7" and you shouldn't have to worry about the wiring or anything else because i hope that you are just replacing the whole headrest and not trying to cut out a square and install the screen. ya its possible but you will never get that clean factory look if you do it that way.

Wow!

I assume that's for points at shows, and not because you have a half dozen children?
