Alpine CDA-9827 Head unit, KCA-420i iPod Control interface, 40 Gb iPod, 2 12-inch Dual 1100 Watt Subs, 1500 Watt Rockford Fosgate 2 Channel amp.
Main and really only reason I went for alpine; I can control my iPod through it. Carrying 400 cds in your car tends to scratch a lot of cds.

sony... whatever you do throw it in the trash... only advice I can give to anyone is stick with the same brand it gives it a uniform setup that helps with show cars and they were designed to work with there own counterparts so it helps it work at top performance.

The head unit will most likely be all F#1 status with the pxa-h900 processor. that should about do it. total power at 12.6 volts RMS = 4500 watts, Peak power close to 13,000 watts. And I will be running in the USAC 901+ pro class. Any questions?
lol holy crap.. That seems like a crazy setup.. I keep hearing all this crap about getting a new alternator, maybe I should look into this. I dont have a crazy setup at all, but im sure it would be good. How much is it for an alternator. Im running alpine 9831, alpine mrp-f240 4 channel amp, infinity perfect 6.1 components in front, stock rear speaker, dynmat extremed the front doors, all of the rear area including the hatch back door, rear floor, wheel wells, etc.. Diamond audio d6 12 inch sub in sealed enclosure powered by alpine mrd-m501. What would help this system out, yellowtop, redtop? maybe a cap, or alternator. I havent really driven at night while playing sub, so i dont know if lights dim. Also i have upgraded grounds.

if I go through and purchase the xB, I'm gonna squeeze my Inhuman 18" in the cargo area, and run a Lanzar Opti 2000D to it and a smaller opti 4 channel to my MB Quart PSC-316's.

In the next two weeks, here's what I'm doing...

Rockford Fosgate 8250 Platinum (rebadged Denon DCT-A1n)
Mcintosh MCC82 (only 2 X 40 but I'll see how she sounds)
Dynaudio 240 GT comps
Dension Icelink 1.1
40GB iPod

Everything concealed--headunit hopefully in the cubby (retaining factory HU so it looks stock from the outside). I want really good SQ at moderate volumes and that's it.
