Wouldnt this be sweet?
I think this would be nice in our boxes.Even more storage space than we already have! They offer them for so many other vehicles.Mostly pickups and SUV's.
I think they should offer them for our boxes.
What do you think?

that could work with all the extra room up there. for me it would depend on how sturdy it is and how it attachs. i would be though. maybe i can fab one out of metal.

The way they usually attach is you pull the 3 screws out of each visor, take your visors out,put the shelf in their place using the same screws, then mount your visors to the shelf.
I thought about playing with it myself.Out of wood and glass maybe. Then cover it in vynl.
I am going to call the company Monday and see what they have to say.

I'd be very interested if the shelf included different visors so the sun didn't blind me from the side windows.... or at least some sort of pull-out thingamabobber.

Ok I got ahold of Pace Edwards.
Bad news. Not only for us but other new vehicles as well.
We are not making new shelfs for any new vehicles. What we make now is what we will continue to make and not offer any new model specific shelves.
Talk about a company out for a buck. They said they only produce and sell for the most popular models availible today, and will not expand to any new models.
I did find out that they make them from aluminum covered with velour or carpet.
I wonder if there is another company that does or will offer these.
Maybe I will take a look at making it myself.

They are all model specific.
I guess you could get one and look into modifying it.
You would have to measure our windshield length and try to find one that comes close and modify it as neccesary.Im not ready to do that yet.Maybe later down the road.
This is something I want.

off to home depot in a few mins to see how much the materials will cost....

if they're not too much, i'll make one myself, if it comes out good, i might be able to make a few extras......don't get ur hopes up so soon though

Cool Xbox!
Let me know what you come up with.I had one in a truck years ago.
I cant remember how the front of the shelf looks.I think it just follows the curvature of the windshield.I was going to try and mess with some aluminum.
Thing is,I dont have access to a bender.I would have to cut and weld every peice and part.
I think that covered metal would be the only choice as anything else may not be sturdy enough.
Let us know what you come up with.I may be interested in getting one of the production models!

sturdy enough for what? to hold a 300lbs man? def not glass would prob be sturdy enough if u make the bends right, hmmm maybe i'll play around with that a lil.....i mean that could easily carry a PS2 or a DVD it's not really to hold a LARGE amount of stuff, is it? just to get some things off ur seat!

i'll let u know what happens with home depot

Yea doesnt need to be that sturdy!
But if you make it as they do,there is no mounts in the middle.
All you have is where the stock visors mounted, and where the little clips that hold the other end of the visors.
So it would kinda be risking a bow in the middle.
I guess if you used the clip mounts too it would be plenty sturdy for little stuff.

I think that you could do allot more with glass.
I also think it would look better than CF myself.
