Default Where does the Fog Lamp Relay go?

Okay so I tried to save myself a few bucks and order some parts off of eBay. I have the factory fog lamps from a Toyota dealer but I cannot figure out where the relay goes. I have looked at the fuse panel under the hood and under the dash. I see where you could put a relay but there are not metal tabs in the whole.
This is supposed to be a complete kit, brand new in the box and I believe it is. It does not come with instructions because a Toyota tech is supposed to be installing them, not a shade tree mechanic like myself. By the way everything else was very easy and I have it all installed, I just need to know where to put the relay so they will work.

I new it had to be easy. I just couldn't find it. For anyone else trying to do this, you do not have to remove the socket, you can reach around and install the relay with the wiring socket still installed. Also you do not have to remove the panels except for the fuse panel.

Thanks for the help, Guys! Either of you tried to install the Cup Holder Illumination Kit?

I guess I will try and tackle that in the morning.

HAHAHA... oh man.. i hated trying to get that socket out too so I think that step in the instructions is USELESS, to pry it off.

SUre it's for convienince but, all you had to do was feel the socket and stick in the relay.. I could have saved myself 1hr hahaahahahah.

Anyway, I hope installation for my randodes goes easy! Getting them soon!

Yes, this thread just saved me an hour of my time and avoided the risk of breaking all that plastic stuff. Gotta love ScionLife!

Thanks guys! RPM

PS/BTW: Although it's pretty obvious if you study the other relays, here is the spade pattern for popping the relay into the socket.

it is a lot easier to talk to real people than it is to talk to engineers and techs. Real people figure out the short cuts. I just finished the cup holder illumination. It was pretty easy too. I think I may have spent one hour at the most.

By the way has any one attempted to add the cruise control themselves. That is my next project.

Ditto, mine is just hanging there next to the fuse block.

Haha, I was tempted to just leave it there. But I'm one of those people that just has to put things back like they were. It would have bugged me otherwise.
