Default xA Speakers - Post your setup!

Tell me your speaker setup! I'm trying to figure out what I can easily fit into the stock speaker ports without modification.

Anybody know the stock speakers for the xA? Tweeters, front doors, & rear doors. I'm trying to find the proper size & depth aftermarket speakers.

I'm considering the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 and also the Polk Audio MMC6500 Components. Anyone running these.

Okay, post your specs!

If the doors are anything depth wise, it may be a tight fit for the Kappas or momo's. But you can always try spacing them out a bit. The worst thing with the Momo's was the huge crossover and trying to find a place to put them. But both speakers are very good pick...

I personally will be putting in a set of Infinity Reference 6012si speakers. These are 6.50 inch speakers with a 2 inch top mount depth.

Looking forward to installing them. :D

Cool! Let me know if these fit. If so, I'll likely get 'em. I'm just interested in great sound, you know?

Are the speaker sizes in the xA and the xB identical? If so, I'll open this up to EVERYONE!

i have some focal 165k's in my front doors, nothing special to do except make a baffle, and mounted tweeter in the factory location from behind, just took off the factory grill and sanded the inside down a little

Anyone else got aftermarket speakers for their xA? I'm especially interested in the front doors.

Let's hear 'em!

Back from the dead, I know...

After much debating and flip flopping on what I wanted, I went with a pair of Rainbow Profi 6.5 comps in the front door. Kenwood dpx-701 headunit and a Diamond d3 400.2 amp, both front doors deadened with Damplifier.

I'm really happy with the sound, but now I want something a little bassier to fill out the whole spectrum. I use my hatch all the time, and I don't really want to fill up half of it with a sub. Are there any options for the rear door speakers? What are the chances I could have a good shop fit a 7" speaker back there?

What are you guys running in the back? I wish JL had a stealth box option for the xA.

Hey,

I don't know too much about this stuff, but when I was digging around my doors, it sure looked like there was a LOT of room in those doors. I have 6.5's in there, with room to spare. You probably wouldn't need to modify much, especially if you mounted speaker baffles. Gives a lot of clearance. That's what I did!

If I'm off base here, which is always a strong possibility, someone set me straight!
