Default xB Armrest With Lots of Storage and an Extra Cupholder

I bought this armrest on ebay from philsonh for $100. He has one on ebay now for $128 or best offer. I added an extra cupholder made by Fischer from Ultimate Cupholders and attached it to the back of the armrest with the provided screws. I like this armrest because it has more storage than the Zeta and it's less expensive than theirs. You also get your choice of tops and it's easy to remove since it's just squeezed between the two front seats.

I bought one of these about 6 months ago. Nice and large storage. It does get in the way of shifting a little if you have a 5-speed. Cupholder idea is cool.

The ability to adjust by sliding back and forth is nice. Overall, I like it.

I looked at the history of winning bids and bid the lowest. I think it was $75.00. That's what I got it for.

Old thread I know, but thanks for all the pics. Extremely helpful to me in making a decision between this armrest and the boomerang.

im guessing it just kinda hangs out there with nothing actually securing it?

How is it secured? Wouldn't want it moving around if I have to hit the brakes for some soccer mom on the cell who just dropped her latte and is coming into my lane.

My understanding is that it's pretty much held in place by pressure/friction of the seat bolsters. Note...that's only my understanding, no first hand knowledge.

The way the lower rear section looks was my determining factor of why I'm going with the boomerang.

It is held in place by the seat bolsters with the base sitting on the center "hump" of the floor.

It's very secure, and it does not move, even when adjusting your seat.

I've had mine for about 12,000 miles and I really like it. Works for both you and your passenger.

Looks similar to the one I picked up in Japan. But, mine has two cup holders in the rear.
