How do you extend the domelight with a dremel? Did you have to re-wire it or just bend the clips that hold the bulb?

Also, does anyone know if they make add-on interior dome lights for the back hatch area?

Thanks!

Unscrew the dome light and bring it inside with you. It will become apparent what you have to do. I tried bending and drilling into the clips. IT'S INVINCEABLE!!!

So I cut oneside back and cut the clip in half. Put a v-bend in the clip to cradle the bulb and Voila! You can see in my picture of it that I had to back it up with electrical tape to insure it wouldn't short against anything behind the head liner.

Totally a Tim Allen job. As far as a rear dome lamp, there is a post about someone who just bought another one and put in the back. He claimed it was pretty easy, but never followed up with a how to. Their is a tech article on the hoodliner that should give you the knowledge to do it yourself. I just put two multi-led surface mounted lights in the hatch area (next to the rear strut towers) it adds cool blue while driving and lets me find what I need back there.

You can see them on the sides in this pic

I wouldn't rock that big piece that covers the passenger side airbag. That thing just seems kind of dangerous.

So if anyone could recommend a comany that makes white ones and doesn't fade or turn yellow that would be awesome..........

thanks
