Default xB foglights/switch/relay/plugs

As you can see from this photo...i'm not using the stock foglights.

the plug is behind the bumper from what i remember..i'm sure the switch plug is behind a blank in the interior.

my questions are...

I'm not willing to pay $40 to the dealer for a stock foglight switch...what have others used that fit great or did you just cut the tab and put your own?

Is the relay(which) in place already...if not...where in the engine bay are you plugging it into the stock harness?

Thanks in advance...the search engine here is difficult to get specific info from.

the relay does not come installed. there is an empty slot for it in the fuse box under the steering wheel.

you can use that switch from lowes that fits in the blank.

Try www.painlesswiring,com for a selection of switches and I am sure they have relays.

The relay is a factory Toyota part your dealer can get. They are all the same so they always have them in stock.

To get to it....remove the drivers door sill plate and left foot kick panel. All just pull off. Then remove that little fuse panel pocket below the mirror adjustment switch. The relay is the 3rd down. It's blue, and missing. First, working from below in the kick panel area, remove the plug for the relay that is clipped to the fuse block. Slid it towards the engine and it just un-clips. Hook the relay to the plug and put it back on the clip. Be sure and check for the fuse for the fogs. Some were missing, some already had it.

The plug for the switch is taped to the wiring loom behind the ash tray.

I like that WRX style airdam... where'd you get it from? Did the fogs come with it? (PM me if you have to-- this question should be in the aero section I think..)

we made it. we used a stock wrx bumper and a stock xB bumper. cut the fog housings and part of the bumper out of the wrx bumper and molded it into the stock xB bumper. it came out super clean.
