Default xB rear cargo specs

with the rear door shut, can anyone give me the specs for width, floor from rear seat to door and from where the cargo cover would go, from the rear to door (assuming it's shorter then the floor depth)

Gonna see if I can finally build a box for my Inhuman 18" and drop it in the back of a xB if I buy one.

If you take your spare tire out and all the other foam stuff, you could build a box and have the 18 fit back there

Default xB rear cargo area dimensions

OK, just went out and measured the my ToolBox's trunk . . .

FULL WIDTH = 50"
HEIGHT TO CARGO COVER = 14.5"
FLOOR DEPTH (seat-back to hatch / lower) = 22"
CARGO COVER DEPTH (seat-back to hatch / upper) = 15+"

REAR-WHEEL ARCHES, both sides:
BUMP HEIGHT = 8"
BUMP WIDTH = 6"
BUMP DEPTH (varies, but max. seat-to-hatch = 15")

Hope this helps with your sub project, RVWinkle. And, hey don't overlook folding down the /40 part of the rear seat-back as well. You could prob'ly fit a casket-size sub enclosure then and REALLY wake the dead.

Actually maximum width between the shock towers is 38". I built my box with 38" outer width and it just barely squeezes between the shock towers.

At the floor of the area with the spare and cargo compartment removed there is just below 20" call it 19.5" to be safe.

I built my box 9" high and the 20" at the top of the box is too long for the seat to easily latch into position.

My box is 38x20x9 and it is one hell of a tight fit in just about every aspect.

Eventually I am going to sell it and get a different setup.... 15's aren't really my cup-o-tea

How many cubic feet do you need for your inhuman 18"

back when I was planning about 4 cubic feet is the max if you want to keep rearward visibility, if you want to put a wall you could pretty easily get 6 cubic feet, much more than that is pushing it.

4 cubes sealed and 6-8 cubes if I wanna go ported :o Still trying to figure out if I'll go sealed or ported....I'm leaning towards sealed as I really don't compete anymore and a 18" w/ 2+kw should hit hard enough. Reason I want the hatch floor to ceiling height is to guessimate the resonance frequency of the xB...so if I were to port it, I'd have a decent start to as what to tune my enclosure to.
