Default Xb Stock Deck

Are all the stock decks 6 disc in dash cd changers? How do you tell if not?

The main way for you to notice is wether it can change colors. The 6 disc changer has a Color button if I am not mistaken..and the single disc does not..

That, and the SHU has a power button up to the right corner; the 6DHU does not; it's power button is on the center button. And, the layout of that center button is not the same.

In the 6DHU, it has SAT/AM on top, the right is the PWR, the bottom is FM1/FM2 and the left button is DISC

Their is also, on the 6DHU, a LOAD button. This button has to be pressed, then you wait to load a disc in. You can't just shove a disc in the 6DHU.

I have the 6DHU in my xB, and the SHU in my xA.

I have been told, but I can't confirm it, that the 6DHU sounds a bit better then the SHU. I think they sound the same. Of course, in my xB, I have upgraded the speakers, and added a sub, but before I did that, the two systems sounded about the same.
