Default xB Whelen Strobe Install in Taillights

I just picked up a whelen strobe kit and am trying to figure out where to mount everything before it gets here. So, I figured out where to put the strobe in the headlight, but I'm somewhat puzzled about where to put the strobe in the taillight (OEM Style). I have heard of people putting them in place of the backup lights, but I would like to keep those if possible. Anyone done this before?

They mount with 2 screws (180 degrees apart) that thread into the light fixture.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand you mounted them in the same "compartment" as the backup light, but did you mount them on the side or the bottom of the light? The hard part about the deal is finding a spot behind the light that will allow the wires to pass back into the car without having to do too much drilling or cutting.

i mounted them on the side of the light, i wish i had a pic to show you. with them mounted like that i was able to hid the wiring under the taillight and run it thru the gromet with the factory harness, i didnt drill or cut any other holes except for the one for the stobe bulb
