XM Delphi, Roady2, or Direct in?
I just bought my 05 XB! I did not upgrade the stock HU. I have another 2 years on my XM Radio subscription, so I decided last night to move it over. (I was using FM Modulator)_. During the move, my Delphi just crapped out. (Doesn't even come on).
From reading through the posts, I guess that I cannot use direct line in for XM. (Is this also true for the 05s???).
So, since I don't want to spend the money on a new head unit, I think I am stuck with FM Modulator set up.
If this is not the case, please let me know. If it is, would you go with the Delphi or Roady 2? When I first bought my XM, they had an antenna that adhered to the glass on both side, eliminating the need to run wires to the outside. Is this still an option? If not, where / how are you running your antenna wires?
Please advise quickly, as I will be working on this today.
Thanks!

I suggest a Roady1/2 or Commander with a cd auxiliary adapter... Once it's set up, just press the CD button again and you'll be in CD Auxiliary mode...and then it'll be a direct feed from the XM tuner... Do a search on... "XM Radio" it's been done...
I bought the Delphi Roady1 and am using the FM transmitter, it works fine, I just ran the antenna and mounted it where the factory XM antenna goes on the tC. The Roady 2 still uses the power cord, so if you go with Roady1 or 2, you'll use the same amount of wires. The Roady1 is $30 cheaper, but the FM transmitter is $30 and includes the power cable built-in, so whichever way you go it will cost you $130 and you'll have the same set up. Only thing different about the Roady 2 is a smaller antenna (not much smaller, still about 1/4 of the size of the Sirius antenna) and a stock ticker. I love mine, it's simple and very small, the mounting kit for it is pretty nice and easy to use as well. It may not be **perfect** cd quality but you can't tell a whole lot of difference and mine never cuts out unless im under a giant tree or in the garage where the antenna can't see the sky. Plus the Delphi units have an adio output adjustment level, so if it's not loud enough, you can boost the signal on the tuner and have it come through extra clear. Hope this helps in your decision.
