XM radio question.
So I noticed from trdsparks.com that you get 1 year free service when you buy the XM reciver from them.
Do you get this one year service when you buy it from the dealer?
I really want XM in my new tc (I have xm service in my old car), but the recivers for our cars are so expensive.
I would buy from trdsparks.com but the insturctions to install look to complicated for me, and I dont wanna mess up my new car.
I dont trust the dealership much with my new car either, but I trust them a bit more.
The thing is that I dont want to spend even more from the dealer if I wont get a free year, I will feel exremly ripped off.
Has anyone here done this install themselves? Was it hard?
I dont even know what a nylon panel removing tool is.
I also cant figure out why I need to put protective tape on the fender before I remove the rear bumper. Heck, I dont even know what protective tape is.
Do you think I am to noob to do this?

Not sure about the tc but I installed the xm in my xb and it was easy. Just take your time and read the instructions closely. I did not need ANY special tools. All the panels to remove simply come out with a quick tug. The protective tape. etc, uses will become obvious as you go through the process. If you have further questions call Ken at TRDSparks. He is very helpful and will do his best to help.
