Default xm satellite question?

I have an xm unit from another radio, will it be compatable with the base xb radio? The xm model number is: xm-rvr-d-001

No. Have to get the Toyota one. Do a search. LOTS of stuff out there in the forums!

Is it an aftermarket unit where the XM radio is external?

Yes it is. It's a dual radio and the xm box was separate.

Ah. Well that tuner box will not connect to the factory head unit. Any other questions let me know I am here to help.

I can't imagine xm building a unit that was that different for different applications. I'm surprised there isn't some kind of wire harness that would work.
