Best coilovers for your buck?
ok right now i have factory shock/struts with 2" drop with espelir springs. i want a smoother ride so i want to get the koni shocks/struts thats going for around $530. but i was thinking should i waste my money on getting those shocks? or should i get a set of coilovers. and what a good coilover system for around that price or maybe a lil more

I would go Progress> I do believe those will give you a pretty good ride. If you spend about 150 more you can get the K sport. From what I heard they are one of the best handling coilovers but will ride real rough on streets.

ksports is very track oriented. It will be a kidney shaker on the streets. Their spring rates are quite high something like fronts:7kgf/mm and 9kgf/mm for the rear rough ride! for comparison the stock spring rates are like 2 or 3kgf/mm?
I think you can ask for lower spring rates when you order

i regret buying the Progress coils.
for an extra $200 or so, i would have
went with TEIN Basics or something else.
might not be as low
as Progress but ride is effing bouncy.
...yeah yeah...get Monroe's. still bouncy.
on 3" drop, but doubt
anyone would be rocking
that 4" drop as a daily driver.
save that extra few
hundreds...it'll be worth it in the long run.

KSport coilovers rock performance driving and are great when the street quality is ok.
you will KNOW when the road is even slightly bad.
i do not mind the ride much for myself, but some of the people who ride in my car cannot physically handle it because they have neck and spine injuries. so i am looking into tein SS or trying toget lower rate springs from KSport.
i love the height and performance, but they are not for meek.

anyone rollin' with JIC, HKS, or Zeal coilovers? I'd like to hear their impressions.
I have JIC's FLT-A2s on my turbo RX-8 and they are awesome, but that's a totally different vehicle than the xB. I know the coils I've listed cost some $$$, but you do get what you pay for.
