Default Coilovers + Sway bars

So I know the progress rear sway bar is supposed to be a HUGE improvement over stock, and especially with some lowered springs.

I'm getting ready to install coilovers this weekend...

my question is this:

has anyone had any experience with installing coilovers...AND THEN adding the sway bar after? I am curious to know how big of an improvement it makes on a coilover set-up as opposed to just springs with stock struts and rear shocks.

Depends on your suspension adjustments. If u don't set the right height for the coilovers, then don't expect an increase in handling. :D

The progress rear sway bar will make a drastic improvement either way. It stiffens up the rear suspension arm. I will compliment your coilovers VERY nicely.

Interesting that you noticed a difference with the strut tower bar...I bought one a long time ago (same one in fact), and didn't see a significant difference, if anything at all -- there are a few threads out there to support that. I have heard that the front swaybar causes a lot of push as well...

...haha...good call on the spelling disclosure -- check this out: www.dictionary.com

I have a 2" drop and without the rear sway bar, you can feel the rear end raise as the nose dips (the two oposite corners). So, it went like this for me.. 2" drop and rims=huge improvement overall, then energy bushings for the front say bar=huge difference (in steering during a hard turn), then strut bar=moderate, but needed difference.. im almost completely level during a 90 degree turn, say 60mph into, then 40mph out, its on the edge with a slight push from the rear. I know once the rear sway bar gets here, that will be it, 60 in and 60 out.

P.S. I'm a firm believer in you daily driver getting just springs versus coilovers, and thats from a huge number of tuner freaks that I know that went coilover and wish they hadn't..unless its an expensive a$$ set that offers some ride comfort. Just springs and the rest of the suspension bolt ons should cover all of your bases (get it all for the price of coilovers anyways) I will be autocrossing on my set up, will let you know

try putting in the sway bars first and see if you notice a difference .

one important aspect of coilovers is that they allow for a corner balance, this will significanlty improve the response the coilovers give you.

I just got the box back from being aligned...I installed the coilovers last night...100% improvement in response! I can only imagine how it's going to feel after I get the sway bar!
