Default ditching the bags and need ideas bad like!

I am in need of pics of rear spring buckets. I'm trying to take the air bags off and throw on my S Tech's but my buckets were cut off for the airbags and I some how need to fab new ones. Also is it ok to weld it or will I have to make an adapter and bolt it in? I don't want to cause any warping, but if they were able to take a plasma cutter to it then I should be able to weld.
This whole situation is a pain in the ___, I guess that's what I get for a free setup. My only idea is a steel angle o-ring. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

you cut the rear perches off? Why would you do that?! I would weld them in to replace them if I were you. Bolting it in would also work though.

why are you ditching the bags?

I didn't cut them off, Hack Shack did. It was just an overall bad install which makes no sense considering that it was for a tech write up. They did not even knock off the slag from where they cut it up and the ride was stiff up front and bouncy in the rear. They are coming off because my g/f now has a serious dislike of air suspension and she drives the car more than I.

If I were you, I'd go looking to the whole rear arm of the suspension off an junk yard echo maybe. Then it may bolt up in there directly .....or if not you could hack the 2 up and make one useful part. I do know the spring seats are the same as an echo(not sure what years). I ran some echo springs for a little bit before I put on my air. Sucks to hear about your problems Hope you get it straight.

Thanks for the idea. I'll have to start combing junk yards now. It would be nice to find an xb, I need to look into the echo idea. Is the rear similar to the xb?

I know the springs work. The length of the arm or the mounting could be different. But I know the seats are the same for very very close.

That's odd that a place called the Hack Shack didn't do a quailty install...

Sorry, just funnin' with ya. That name just sends a shiver down my spine.

Good luck on finding parts

Hack Shack and EAI are one in the same, installation and manufacturer repsectively. The echo looks pretty damn close, there's only one way to find out... Do you think that a dealership would know? I would assume they have the same part number.

thats pretty crappy that they hacked the rear of the perch off. Did they install an accumulator for your front cylinders?

Yes you can weld a new perch on without hurting anything. It shouldnt be very hard to fab something and weld in in.
