Default Gabriel shocks and struts

anyone tried the gabriel shocks and struts (for echo) on their XB? I went to Napa and picked up the sensa tracks for the back. I'm trying to buy the Gabriels because i can get a discount from carquest. i got the numbers for a 2002 echo. this is the front struts G56572. And this is the backs 69450. please let me know. Also, they dont list a part number for a 03' echo, does it matter? is the 02' suspension the same?

I believe '02 ond '03 Echos vary. You want '02 suspension.

I had Gabriel shocks. Awful. In the trash after just a few thousand miles. My Monroes are much, much softer. The Gabriels didn't feel so much like a shock - more like a solid, incompressible rod.

I was perhaps a little harsh in my first post. The Gabriiels are very similar to stock, maybe just slightly rougher.

Gaining how? Gaining a softer ride...no, IMO. As far as handling, I notice no difference between the Gabriels and the Monroes, and of course the Monroes have a much softer ride. My experience is for the rear shocks only, and not the front struts.
