Help on suspension settings
Hey guys,
I'm currently thinking of making my Scion xB lower.
Since I haven't replaced the shocks in a long time, I was wondering if it would be okay to use sensen shocks with eibach lowering springs since that would be the cheapest alternative. Basically using stock shocks with lowering springs.
Any suggestions?
I was thinking of combining these

with these

Thanks! :D

If you replaced your shocks a while ago with shocks that are basically the same, using the Eibach lowering springs is fine. I used lowering springs with my stock shocks on the xa, no problems. The only thing I would say to watch out for when looking to combine shocks and springs is the length of the shock vs the uncompressed length of the spring, obviously you want some compression when you assemble the strut in the front, but too much (aka the spring is long in comparison to the travel of the shock) you ride quality will go down. In the rear, it basically does not matter what springs you use which that shock since its not a assembled piece (like the front struts)
Long story short, if the lengths of the new shocks are roughly the same as the current shocks (which you aid were the same as stock) then your fine

I'm not sure about the shocks, but the sensen eBay shocks said that they are oe replacements. So I'm guessing they are stock specs.
As for the lowering springs, which ones did you use?
Thanks for the help hmc2261CT!

Then yes the shocks will be fine
And I had the Eibach pro kit, but now in on raceland coils
All in all though, the Eibach springs were fantastic, they settled very evenly and the ride quality was great
German products are always top notch

my car when i had the Eibachs, the from was about a 1.5 in drop and the rear was about 1.8
the ride quality was acutally very good, it was a little stiffer than stock, but not by much, i think you will be happy with eibach, i was when i had them on my car.

Honestly, if you just want a comfortable low drop, racelands are only a little more expensive than springs, and come with shocks/struts BUILT for the drop.
Large drops on oem struts/shocks will help shorten the life of them.

I know quite a few people on them currently, and they all really seem to like them.
For the price, they can't be beat, and they're very comfortable for the amount of drop you can get if you adjust them down!
