I just installed my TRD springs.

The TEIN springs will more than likely be better for overall performance. The TRD springs are suited more for the look of a dropped car, with a decent handling increase. The TEIN springs will make the ride harsher than the TRDs, but that stiffness means better performance.
Suspension is almost always a trade-off between comfort and performance.

Finally put the springs on the car last night - those brass-colored nuts on the top (under the hood) are a pain in the butt!!! I wish the fronts went in as easily as the rear.
Anyway, the car looks so much better (to me - no one else seems to really tell the difference), and the ride is MUCH better.
//TRD rocks!

Some of the springs are going to just beat up your struts, like the 2" drops, but the drop on the //TRD springs is modest: 20mm (>3/4"). For me, it was more about the feel of the ride (on the stock springs my wife would get 'seasick' - not anymore). I didn't want the car slammed, either, and these springs close the gap just enough.
But back to the issue of shock/strut life, the //TRD springs have been advertized by Scion as a 'performance improvement' with or without the shocks/struts, while maintaining the factory warranty.[/quote]

I finally got an alighnment after a LONG time. The only real thing that is adjustible on this car's suspension is the front toe, and my steering wheel was off center just a little bit. Now the car feels even better than it did, and the response of the car is a lot better.
It is best to remember to get an alighnment after about two weeks, so you give the springs enough time to settle in. Still looking at wheels, I'm just inceciesive and lazy...

So it has been over a year with the TRD springs, and I have to say, I am STILL happy with them. I now have more than 20K miles on them, and there are no problems to report. My stock shocks are still good, no noises or leakage.
My long-term review of these is still excellent, and I would still reccomend them to anyone.

Well, this is probably the longest-term parts review I've ever done, but here we go.
I'm sitting right at 130k miles on the car now, parts have been put on and pulled off over the years, but I'm still rockin' these TRD springs. All the bushings have softened up a bit, and the original shocks and struts are worn in quite well, but the springs still work great. I doubt these parts are even available to purchase anymore, but they've performed exceptionally well over the years.

I Looked them up the other day as I just aquired an 06 b. Toyota has discontinued the TRD springs for our cars. No stock anywhere in the country and a discontinued source code.
