Default Installing Tanabe DFz

Guys i dont know much about cars but i got the tanabes and ready to install reading the tech from the forum. but i have a couple of questions. looking at the papers in the package there is a note about binding the springs. what is that do i need to do it, it looks like a wrap that goes aorund the springs making it look like a candy cane. also the bumps stops? i need to cut the stock ones down or what? if you guys could answer my quesitons it would be greatly apreciated thank you.

the rubber is to silence any contact the springs make when they compress if they do touch...

Wrap the rear springs and you'll be good to go.

mine didnt come with new bump stops. i didnt cut them because i forgot. but if i did my car would be lower in the front.. or so i think

i didnt put the plastic\rubber things on the rear springs.. i hear a noise on the back ones when i hit a bump or somehthing..sounds like a rusty squeak.

I wrapped only the bottom few coils of the springs on the rear to eliminate noise and rust, and i also wrapped the bottom coil on the front suspension where the spring meets the stuts to also keep from rusting. As far as cutting the bump stocks...... my kit didn't come with new front strut stops, nor did i cut the stock ones. Cutting them isn't a nessesary step, but recommended. The only thing i need be worried about is the BIG bumps in the road, slamming down on the bump stops is neck jarring, not to mention potentially damaging to the lip of the rim.

I have the Tanabe df210's and I cut the front bump stops. There should be a little peice of paper that came with the springs that tells you how to cut them.
