Need help smoothening my ride *updated with pics*
#21
Really interested in seeing how the front struts go on. I would like to know if anything required modifecation or is a straight bolt on deal. Also how the ride is on the H-techs. Maybe a before and after pic. I want to do the same thing. I just don't want the ride to stiffen up.

I just finished the Tein H-tech Monroe sensa trac combo a couple of days ago. The ride is alot smoother now! Two weeks ago I installed rear Monroes and that helped the ride the most. After insalling the H-techs the ride was not that much different but the 1" drop made the box look better.

Well i just got my stuff installed, except for instead of getting h techs, i was sent s techs. I was going to send them back but after ive seen the drop they provide, im glad i was sent the wrong springs . I've only driven my car a few miles so far but its a lot better than it was before with a lot less cabin noise. anyways heres some pics.
i love the drop of the stechs and they haven't even settled all the way yet. i'll post back after some more drivin, but for now im gonna go have fun drivin my car around

Looks good!
Just a heads up, keep an eye on those Wanli tires. When I bought the Carlsson
wheels for the Passat from someone (used), they had Wanli tires with less than 5k
miles. All four sidewalls were split on the inside, two were split on the outside also,
and one had a bubble forming on the inside. I replaced all four tires with Yokohama
ES100 before putting the wheels on the car.

Re: Monroes on back WAY help
I did this last weekend to a 06 PW Xb and WOW what a difference! Gotta be one of the cheapest best mods available. Feels much less jumpy, makes an already super fun car even better. Follow the writeup in the tech area for the Koni's, I jacked my back up a little to get under there easier, but probably could have done without. Takes no time at all to do. The monroes came with a new top nut but I used the ones that were already on the KYB. For about $70 shipped and no time, this should be a first mod (unless you're getting something better, like the Konis.)[/quote]
what is the part number for those sensatracs couldnt find it.
also where did you get it from?

i think that the xA and xB parts are the same, if thats the case the part numbers are: 5987 for the back, and 71575 for the front. I got mine from pickproparts.com for about $163
