Default OEM vs Moog? Sway Bar End Link Kit..

For me I got my start with needing a car and then the xA was sitting in front of a family members house I ended up doing some work for them , Long story short the car would barely start and stay running, 205,000 miles at the time? We charged the battery called triple A towed it to my old house, did a shake down after swapping to a new battery it’s still running the stock alternator id have to pull it to know for sure but the interior is practically mint broken stereo , one plastic piece to lift / lower the back seats broken too other then that no stains or tears , I put new spark plugs and replaced some of the worst oil I’ve seen in my life and I’ve worked on 10,000 mile oil changes +

I swapped the entire front suspension still need to replace Tie rod bars and one of the ends, the rear I only have struts (everything else original) but the car is super bouncy rn so I think it’d help to swap them , it’s leaking power steering fluid pretty bad I have the pump but I think I’ll drop the sub frame to make it easier because I think my timing chain is loud af rn but I’ve heard worse , I have really bad piston slap when it’s cold , i think it knocks at low rpm at least noticeably, transmission feels really smooth for 15 year old fluid gonna do it when I drop the motor for rebuild, it’s a basket case but it runs nice after 1st gear.

This control arm came off no problem

This ones ball joint had to be sawed off and I hammered out the stuck pin

OEM vs Moog? I think also Moog’s sway bar end link kit sucks I had to buy ones from Napa which were a world of difference

I ended up with something similar from CARiD or car parts.com and they clunked all the way to the Napa store, I swapped to Napa versions where instead of a brass bushing
the center piece is solid and instead of a long bolt it’s double threaded it costed $50 and made a huge difference maybe it was how I installed it or something but this one doesn’t clunk.

I did the ES kit with 4" bolt and 1/2" of spacing instead of the longer bolt and spacer people posted up about having fitment issues. Much beefier than the pancaked cracked oem ones. My spacer is a nut and 2 washers, lol........no clunk and kit also came with the ones for the frame connection.....when I feel like getting to them.

What do the Moog sway bar end links look like? Most people choose to go with Energy Suspension, as mentioned in the post above, when replacing sway bar end links.

the brass piece is the problem and I’m still clunking, I’m replacing the upper strut mounts tomorrow, removing a sway bar spacer because I think it’s a issue and tightening like yours and hope I can get lowering springs or something very soon so I can go around zipping again
