pictures of 2" drop springs settled - dead coils?
I am gonna drop both my xb's and i am really wanting to see pictures of people's springs after setteling. What i am interested in seeing actually are the number of dead coils on each brand of spring, mostly the rear is what i am interested in... I have tried the search, and have been through like 52 pages of threads before i wrote this so you know where i stand.
if you have pics, please post them up. i do not really need to see side shots of dropped boxes, just want to see rear springs so i can see what brands have less dead coils. i will then find out for each what the spring rates are for each, and use this info to make a deccision on what i will buy. thanks Scionlife members and non-members for your help! Anyone in the 805 or 818 ever wanna run a canyon, lemme know!

Don't waste your time... just buy Tanabe DF210s.
Seriously though, if I can find some time soon, I will take a shot of the DF210s on my wife's xB. It will probably just be with my phone, but should give you an idea.

thanks for your help! No rush it's not like i need them tonight
Seems like everyone has their preferance of what springs they like. If i had my way, i would just run bags, but mainly to me if i have to run springs, the amount of dead springs are my main concern. This will really let me know what the ride quality will be like.

I think more important than the dead coils will be the spring rate that you mentioned. I have a feeling you will see a very similar number of "dead coils" across the board with xB drop springs. And I am sure you already know to look at the stickied thread about xB spring rates.
so far, i am thinking i am going to go with Progress tech because the spring rate on their springs is +20, but if they have a high number of dead coils, with such a high spring rate, that would mean that the +20 would be distributed over 2-3 coils, making a much stiffer ride then i want. for me, the spring rate is important, when compared to the actual number of "open"coils, hence less dead coils = more open coils to distribute the weight of the car. I would rather have +20 on 4 open coils as opposed to a +20 spring rate on 2 open coils - just an example i have not really done any comparisons yes on the number of open vs dead coils yet on different springs out there... i don't ride in a club, so it is kinda hard for me to ride in boxes that are all dropped on different springs.
Rton20s you are exactly right - no harm ment by my previous post, what i really wanted to see were shots of different springs out there. I guess everyone runs on the Tanabe's! I really apprecieate all the info everyone has given me here on this post and PM's as well.
I have KSport springs on my xA, no dead coils, and they are a progressive spring rate. Great ride, no noise, and one of the cheapest available!
They are meant for an xB, with 1.6" front/2.0" rear, but have settled evenly on my car, and wheelgap is equal on all 4 corners.

Above are TRD Springs
Anyone know how the TEIN S tech springs handle, Cornering, Ride quality, etc.....? The spring rate is so close to sotck that I am wondering if they perform like stock just lower. 145 lb for front and 179 lb rear.......I am considering getting them.
