Default Prado suspension

have a 2003 Toyota Prado, recently aquired from the UK. Having great discomfort problems with the suspension being really bouncy. The vehicle has air bag suspension on the rear, and although these are slightly worn, are still in reasonably shape. Have been advised locally to fit coil spring suspension at this to resolve the bumpy ride. Is this a commonly suggested and tried remedy, or can anyone give some sound advice - am loathe to make non maunfacturer changes ?? Please help..

I think you'd get better advice on a Prado forum, to be honest. This is a Scion forum, of all things. Try ih8mud, they're an awesome Land Cruiser/Toyota 4x4 community, I'm a member over there as well. http://www.ih8mud.com
