I haven't crossed it yet. As far as removing anything, I probably won't. Maybe later in the future. My wheel and tire combo consists of 17" Sportmax 003's(forged)that weigh about 14.5 lbs and Falken Azenis RT-615's. This weekend, I'm thinking of getting a set of 15" Konig helium in bronze. They are forged and weigh 10 lbs each. If i do, I'll use those for crossing. I used to have a set in 17" that weigh as much as my 003's.

I'm not quite sure what you mean....The xB comes with VSC which is vehicle Stability Control AND it comes with TRAC which is the traction control...they are two seperate systems. Whenever I push hard into corners I get a VSC light and lose RPM.

I've never gotten a VSC light. What year is yours?
I own an '06

I'm pretty sure the two systems use the same warning tone and light....kind of yellow in the light cluster....I get the light in the snow when getting wheel spin, also get the light when taking a corner really hard with no wheel spin.

^^^^ I haven't experienced it yet. Either that or I'm too busy focusing on the curves in front of me.

You stated before you werent able to break loose the back end.....and you wont....all these braces are doing is stiffing the body up not the suspension....there is no inducing of oversteer here....all it will do is when you go over bumps and large cracks in the road make it feel more solid....that is all

This is what ALL upper braces do....they do not interfere with handling at all

Under braces are a different story if they are attached to cross members and control arms and such

take my word for it... get lower offset and wider wheels than the mediocre konigs.

Actually they do affect handling. The do it by not allowing the chassis to flex (body roll)and in doing that, it keeps all wheels planted on the ground thus giving you more contact patch in high speed turns. Granted once the under bracing and sway bars are done, most of the slop will be eliminated.

As far as wheels are concerned, I'm not going to pay an arm and a leg for wheels that are going to get beat on. I understand as far as a wider offset. With that, I'd have a slightly wider stance and increased contact patch. I also don't want to have to run fender flares.

They are bars from other cars that I fabricate to fit our cars. It's a tedious process. There's alot of measuring involved. The company that I get the bars from have them in various lengths. After I do all of my measuring, I take that to the company and get the bars that I need. If it's too long, I cut it down little bits at a time until it's perfect. Since I get a company discount through my sponsor, I don't have to pay retail for them. Again if you want them, pm me.

Just got my bars last night, they went on really easy. From what I can tell they work, it's been raining so I can't really get crazy in the corners. But there used to be a little squeak from the plastic panels in the rear hatch now it's completely silent. Thanks Scibox!!!

Nothing, I remember you asking me where I got my "low offset 15x7's..." I was your research. But, of course, you ordered the Pro Race Ones with a 25mm offset... :D

there is a bracket attached to the frame just above the rear strut. it has some bolt holes in it. i'm not sure if it's welded or stamped on, but that could be a mount point. i didn't look closely for the purpose of braces when i had the plastic off this weekend :/

is the strut bolt in the rear a good mounting point?
no welding involved?

i've been thinking about putting something in there too, but i want mine to be easily removable for cargo.

You can bolt a bar onto the shock. If you look at GTSpecs, that's where they mount theirs and that's where I mounted mine.
