before i bought them. i guess
when i read 1-4" drop, i was convinced ....

...even though i'm only riding
on a crap 2.75" drop.

is it just the rear shocks that are gone or are the struts gone in the front end as well?

I think riding way dumped is worth it... I'm on air and as rebelman said also, I ride as humanly possible so I rub a little here and there and I still do angle because it takes me a while to get the ride height set again even with the air gages. A good friend once said to me...If you dont scrape/rub here and there every so often, then you are not low enough! Oh and nnnickkk the thing we are hitting is a little brace that is right behind the front sub frame... i scraped it a little the other night, and i know what you mean when it hurts your soul! haha

It's a real PITA! Uggh.... Maybe I'm just getting old

Living in San Francisco, a 2" drop is a challenge, but 3.5" is damn near impossible (on coilovers). Since moving to SF, I almost never drive my xB anymore (or drive at all for that matter).

Even if I lived in the suburbs, I'd probably reserve the xB for the weekends. I know one thing for sure, as soon as I move out of the city, I am going AIR!!!

My side skirts are in the neighborhood of 2" off the ground. I would call that dumped. At that kind of ride height you absolutely have to be aware of where you're driving. I cant make it over any speed bumps and most inclined driveways/entrances are an issue. To me its worth it just for the perfomance and handling aspects. If I take a turn super sharp I put my sideskirts on the ground. Its a crazy sound but I've grown used to it. It really freaks out passengers who havent been in my xB very much. I have a picture somewhere and when I find it I'll post it to show how low I am...

its worth it, I am on air and i ride with almost no pressure in my bags my works scrape on my fenders because of the offsets but when a speedbump comes up i just raise my box up. go with air it saves alot of headaches i know because i drove around with a static drop for a year and i scarped all the time.. heres a few photos to show how low my box gets on the airrunner air suspension.

i'm at close to a 4 inch drop and i drive my car every single day. in and out of driveways , speedbumps everything. just takes skill , luck , and prior knowledge of road/parking lot conditions. my front lip scrapes all day but what am I gonna do never go into and out of driveways? never go into parking lots? never go up my own standard driveway? nah just live with it.

Darren, man your xB is looking awesome! I think it's time for me to move on with the coilovers, though. I don't even need a car in SF anymore. I'm going to sell my coilovers and then the xB.

When I move out of SF, i'm going strictly air from now on ;)

I used to drive around jacked up when I had my air. I didnt care, i never had to worry about anything. People used to pull up next to me at lights, roll down the windows and say "That thing would look sweet if you lowered it" in which I would reply "Like this?" and dump it to the ground.

i have had lots of slammed civic;s and bikes and now my xb riding low on springs or coilovers can be tricky.. after running air ride it seems to be the way to go.. u can ride low and lift to get over road hazards... best for my daily driver..
